What to say when guests haven’t replied to an RSVP
Send a short reminder with a clear deadline, a way to say no, and enough time to plan food and seating.

Send one short RSVP reminder to people who haven't answered. Give them the event name, the reply deadline, and the original RSVP link. Explain what the deadline helps you plan so it feels like a practical request.
Send the reminder while there is time to respond
Work backward from the point when you need a headcount. If you have to order food on Friday, ask for replies by Wednesday and leave yourself room to follow up. Treat a “maybe” as unconfirmed until you hear back.
Copy a message that gives guests an easy out
“Quick check for Noor’s birthday on Saturday. Could you let me know by Wednesday whether you can make it? We’re sorting food. No worries if you can’t: [RSVP link].” For a close friend, replying directly may be easier than opening a page again. Record the answer wherever you're keeping the headcount.
Follow up privately
Message the guest rather than tagging them in a group. If a household hasn't confirmed how many are coming, ask for the number you need. Keep questions about allergies, access, and other personal details between the host and the people affected.
Make a decision when the deadline passes
If space or catering is tight, plan around confirmed replies and tell late responders what is still possible. In Piki, hosts can see yes, no, and maybe responses in the event view. Guests do not see the full response ledger.
